EU Gas Storage at Highest for Over Ten Years

European natural gas storage was up the highest in over ten years at 97.89% full on 14 Oct according to GIE data after high end of season injection rates.

  • Net injections have increased in the last week above the average rates from the previous five years. Net injections averaged about 1,814GWh/d in the week to 14 Oct compared to the five year average for the period of 1,370GWh/d.
  • All 18 EU AGSI reporting countries now have over 95% full gas storage while Ukraine storage is up to 38.78% full.
  • Storage in Germany is at 250.2Wh (98.2% full), Italy is at 191.3TWh (97.6%), Netherlands at 139.2TWh (97.6%), France at 131Wh (97.5%) and Austria at 95.1TWh (97.4%).

    • TTF Q1 24 down -1.9% at 56.5€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 24 down -1.9% at 54.37€/MWh
