EU Intra-Day Auctions Set to Go Live on 13 June

EU intra-day (IDAs) power auctions are set to go live on 13 June for delivery on 14 June, confirmed by the Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) and TSOs.

  • The first auction will take place on 13 June at 15:00 CET.
  • Pricing the intraday capacity – via IDAs – will be part of the Single Intraday Coupling (SIDC) and will complement the current continuous trading method, NEMO said.
  • SIDC currently couples the continuous intraday markets of 25 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.
