EU LNG Arrivals Set to Fall Further After Drop Last Week

LNG imports into Europe and Turkey last week fell 18% from the previous week to the lowest since the first week of the year at 2.9bcm according to preliminary Kpler data cited by Montel.

  • Imports could fall again this week with arrivals estimated to drop 21% to 2.3bcm amid weak demand and delays to cargoes from Qatar due to Red Seas diversions.
  • Russian net imports into western Europe rose to the highest monthly level since March 2022 with 12 Yamal cargo arrivals in January according to Bloomberg.
  • European LNG sendout was holding below levels seen last year at 318mcm/d on Feb 4 and just below an average of about 340mcm/d over the previous week according to Bloomberg.
  • Bloomberg ship tracking shows about 16 arrivals currently scheduled to arrive into NW Europe in the coming couple of weeks after 80 arrivals in Jan.
  • TTF MAR 24 down -3.8% at 28.2€/MWh
