EU Minister Says Court Law Key For Unlocking Funds, NBP Begins Monetary Policy Meeting

  • Poland's EU Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek told Polsat News that the government has not yet submitted an application for Poland's allocation of EU recovery funds as it wants to do be sure of a swift and positive response. Szynkowski vel Sek added that finalising judicial reforms is a key step towards unlocking the funds. He argued that if the Constitutional Tribunal greenlights the reforms, Poland would send the application "very quickly."
  • The NBP's Monetary Policy Council begins its two-day meeting today. The rate decision will be announced tomorrow, with Governor Adam Glapinski set to hold a press conference on Thursday.
