EU Targets Min 45% Gas Storage in February: European Commission

EU natural gas reserves must be at least 45% full on average on 1 Feb to safeguard the EU’s energy security, the European Commission said.

  • The commission also urged EU governments to aim for storage levels of 55% of capacity by 1 Feb 2023.
  • European gas storage levels, including Ukraine and the UK, stood at 94.58% of capacity as of 22 Nov, AGSI data show.
