EURO-YEN: EUR/JPY last trades at Y129.19 as the yen sits atop the G10 pile,
modestly outperforming its peers.
- The pair closed 7 pips higher Thursday after round tripping to intraday lows
of Y128.68, as EUR recouped initial losses registered on the back of hawkish
comments from Italy's Dep PM Salvini re: projected budget deficit.
- Strong Japanese industrial output figures may be lending some support to JPY.
- Bears need to move back below the Y129.00 handle before challenging
yesterday's lows, while bulls eye yesterday's peak at Y129.30 and a break above
that level would shift their focus to the 100-DMA at Y129.40.
