EURO-YEN: EUR/JPY last Y129.08, now higher on the day despite opening below
Friday's close, as risk sentiment recovers a touch.
- The rate slipped ~60 pips Friday, as broader risk off flows lent support to
the yen. Weak performance from the European equities & continuing political
uncertainty around Italy's protracted dispute with the EU provided additional
downside momentum.
- Bulls need to retake the 100-DMA at Y129.52 before targeting Friday's high/50%
fibo at Y129.65/67, while initial bearish focus falls on Friday's lows of
Y128.74. A break below would open up the Nov 5 low at Y128.61.
