EURO-DOLLAR
EURO-DOLLAR: EUR/USD last deals at $1.1363, a touch higher on the day. The rate
slipped 5 pips Tuesday, with price action largely driven by broader USD
gyrations. Germany's ZEW survey came in mixed, but had little lasting impact on
the EUR.
- Bears keep an eye on yesterday's low of $1.1336, where the rate bottomed
yesterday, and a break below would give them the green light for targeting the
50-mma & 200-wma at $1.1327. Meanwhile, bulls need to retake yesterday's high of
$1.1373 before challenging the 55-DMA/50-DMA at $1.1381/88.
- The ECB will deliver its MonPol decision Thursday, with no change to the
policy rate expected. Instead, the Bank's rhetoric re: the slowing EZ economy
will be in the spotlight. Elsewhere, EZ focus falls on flash PMIs from across
the EZ due Thursday & German IFO due Friday.
