EURO-DOLLAR: EUR/USD last deals at session lows just below $1.1740, although the
rate has traded in a narrow ~20 pip range in early dealing this week.
- Weekend comments from ECB's Nowotny to ORF radio saw the Austrian central
banker state that he believes that MonPol "normalisation can go faster than
first envisioned" as he reiterated his stance as one of the more hawkish ECB
policymakers.
- A break below the $1.1724 level would see the pair fall back below neckline
support from the inverse head-and-shoulder formation. A close below the 100-DMA
($1.1661) would shift focus back to the downside. Conversely near-term
resistance comes in at $1.1851.
- German IFO data & an address from ECB President Draghi headline the EZ docket
on Monday.
