EURO-YEN: Euro-yen triggered stops on the break of Y132.00 overnight, the move
linked to reports that the Green party had called for Chancellor Merkel to forge
coalition with the SPD. Gains extended to Y132.20 before light profit take sales
emerged off the high. Consolidation has remained the theme into Europe, last
Y132.10. Topside resistance is seen at Y132.27/47 (Nov21, Nov20 highs), a break
opens Y132.53/60 (50% Y133.89-131.17, 55-dma).
* Main data release today at 0900GMT from the German IFO Survey.
* At 1030GMT ECB Supervisory Board chair Daniele Nouy will give the keynote
speech at 18th Handelsblatt annual meeting on European Banking Regulation, in
Frankfurt.
* At 1230GMT ECB Vice-President Vitor Constancio gives a speech on the occasion
of the awarding of the German Bernacer Prize, in Madrid.
* Rounding off the day at 1815GMT is a speech from ECB Executive Board member
Benoit Coeure who gives opening remarks at conference "Economic and Financial
Regulation in the Era of Big Data", in Paris.
