European Gas Outage Update: Supplies from Norway Increased

Overall supplies from Norway and Britain increased over the weekend as capacity reductions eased at the Troll field and works ended at Greater Britannia in the UK, remit data show.

  • Norwegian gas pipeline supplies to Europe have risen to 327.7mcm/d today.
  • The maintenance at the Troll field will limit supplies by 17.5mcm/d until 16 Aug. On 16-18 supplies will be lowered by 23.5mcm/, and by 5.5mcm/d on 18-19 Aug. Unavailability will rise to 34.5mcm/d on 19-26 August.
  • The Kollsnes processing plant has maintenance works until 21 Aug and lowered the unavailability to 10mcm/d.
  • The Ormen Lange field will have annual maintenance on 15-16 Aug, with unavailability of 19.3mcm/d and on 16-17 Aug with unavailable capacity of 24.3mcm/d.
  • Supplies from UK’s Elgin-Franklin field through the Bacton SEAL terminal are expected to return to full capacity on Tuesday after seasonal maintenance, a day later than initially planned, according to its operator.
  • The St Fergus gas terminal is expected to return on 15 August.
