European LNG Imports Dip with Lowest US Arrivals Since Sum 2022 in July

LNG

LNG sendout to Europe dipped down to 311mcm/d on 23 July from as high as 382mcm/d mid last week as NW European flows fall back below levels seen this time last year amid muted demand.

  • A total of 41 cargoes have arrived so far in July with another 13 scheduled before the end of the month according to Bloomberg ship tracking data yesterday. Last month saw 59 cargo arrivals into NW Europe and 88 arrived in May.
  • Northwest Europe is on track to import a total of 30 cargoes from the US this month which would be the lowest since last summer.
  • Rising TTF prices over the last week have narrowed the front month JKM-TTF spread but JKM remains at a premium of about 1.1$/mmbtu today.
