European PPA Prices Remain Firm on the Month in June

The average price of European power purchase agreements (PPAs) remained relatively firm on the month in June from May, while prices moved up just slightly on 28 June from the previous session amid mixed movements in the energy complex, according to the latest data from energy pricing firm Pexapark. PPA prices could be supported today amid the upward movement of prices in power, EU ETS and gas.

  • EU PPA prices averaged around €49.96/MWh over 1-28 June from €49.47/MWh across May.
  • On the day, prices edged up to €50.09/MWh on 28 June from €50.06/MWh on 27 June.
  • PPA prices in Germany, Italy, France and the Nordics increased, while prices in Poland, Portugal, Spain, UK and the Netherlands fell on the day.
  • Solar PPA prices rose by 0.09%, with offshore PPA costs down 0.17%, while onshore prices moved up by 0.11%.
  • France Base Power AUG 24 down 2.6% at 50.45 EUR/MWh
  • Germany Base Power AUG 24 up 1.5% at 77.85 EUR/MWh
  • EUA DEC 24 up 2.6% at 69.25 EUR/MT
  • TTF Gas AUG 24 up 1% at 34.83 EUR/MWh
