EURO-DOLLAR: EURUSD has consolidated Tuesday's late gains, operating above
1.1700 for the entirety of the Asia-Pacifc session. Yesterday's late gains came
on the back of a BBG sources piece that offered little new but re-affirmed that
at least some of the ECB "anticipate holding a pivotal discussion at their
meeting next week that could conclude with a public announcement on when they
intend to cease asset purchases, according to euro-area officials familiar with
the matter." Although the piece noted that "it's possible nothing will
materialise next week."
- EURUSD deals at 1.1719 last, with immediate resistance coming in the form of
the June 04 high (1.1745) followed by the May24 high/50% 1.1996-1.1510, 21-DMA
(1.1750/53). Downside interest can be found at the hourly low NY Jun5/38.2%
1.1653-1.1735 (1.1709/04), followed by hourly support (1.1695/85).
- ECB's Praet, Knot & Hakkarainen are all due to speak today.
- Nearby FX option expiries of note at today's 10AM NY cut include:
1.1600(E1.14bn), 1.1650(E1.57bn), 1.1700(E473mn), 1.1750-60(E1.06bn),
1.1800(E1.79bn), 1.1825(E1.41bn).
