CHINA PRESS: Expectations regarding real estate prices are ultimately moved by
investment and speculation, rather than by rigid demand, Pan Jiancheng, the
deputy director of the China Economic Monitoring and Analysis Center at the
National Bureau of Statistics, said at a meeting Tuesday, according to a report
in the Securities Times. China needs to avoid the potential disaster that could
occur from the bursting of the real estate bubble, which would cause market
expectations on real estate to collapse, Pan said. (Securities Times)
