Exxon Halts A Unit at Fos Refinery Amid Strike

Exxon Mobil temporarily halted a unit at its Fos refinery in France as strike action continues for the second day according to a community alert.

  • Fuel deliveries at the Fos refinery have been interrupted since the start of the industrial action but production remains unaffected, Exxon said.
  • Strike action has interrupted shipments at several production sites and one fuel depot of TotalEnergies on Thursday. Shipments were blocked at La Mede, Donges and Dunkirk.
  • Ineos’ Lavera refinery has shut down a unit on Thursday following a fault.
  • The French CGT union has called for a 48-hour strike from 26 Jan to protest the government’s new pension reform.
