Exxon’s Fos Refinery Remains Blocked Amid Strike Action

Exxon Mobil’s Fos refinery in France is still blocked by workers protesting the government’s new pension reform, the CGT union said.

  • Strikes at the refinery began 7 March and are preventing trucks to access the site.
  • Industrial action at Total’s Feyzin, Donges and Gonfreville refineries are also continuing. Strikes at Donges at planned to last until 16 March, while strikes at the other sites were expected to end on Tuesday.
  • Total is operating its French refineries at minimum rates, according to a second CGT official.
