Fifth German LNG Terminal Arrives into Position

The Energos Force FSRU has arrived at Stade, Germany according to ICIS vessel tracking. It is due to start connecting up to Germany's gas network as the country's fifth LNG import facility. The Stade terminal is located near Hamburg.

  • After Russian pipeline gas flows to Europe were cut in 2022, Germany developed a string of LNG import facilities using floating storage and regasification units connected up to the onshore pipeline network.
  • The FSRU now at Lubmin, the Neptune, is expected soon to move around to join the Energos Power at Mukran.
