Final day of Supreme Court hearing on legality...>

UK
UK: Final day of Supreme Court hearing on legality of prorogation of parliament
starts this morning.
- Main event will be from 1140BST to 1210 with oral intervention by lawyers for
former PM Sir John Major. Unprecedented for one former Conservative PM to launch
legal attack against incumbent from his own party.
- Ruling itself could come later into the evening of Thursday, or over the
coming days. Judges have said they will work to get ruling out quickly given the
weight of the case.
- No. 10 seemingly less confident on win than before the hearing began. Leader
of Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg indicated in talk on Wednesday evening that
parliament would not be prorogued again if the initial suspension is ruled null
and void.
