Final European PMIs Precede Preliminary Eurozone CPI

  • Outside of EM this morning, the USD index sits slightly lower this morning through the Final European Manufacturing PMIs. AUD is comfortably the strongest performer in the G10 space on Tuesday after the RBA unexpectedly lifted the cash rate 25bps to 3.85%. Preliminary Eurozone CPI headlines next at 1000BST/1100CET ahead of US JOLTS Job openings and Factory and Durable Goods Orders later today.
  • European equities are mixed, with markets taking little solace in the negative close on Wall Street following Yellen's downbeat debt ceiling update and JPM's confirmed buyout of First Republic.
