Finance Minister Announces Six-Month Price Pact With Businesses

  • Mexico will start a six-month price pact on a set of 24 basic food and personal items, which have an impact on a third of the consumer price basket, said Finance Minister Rogelio Ramirez de la O at the president’s press briefing on Wednesday. (BBG)
    • Ramirez also stated that Mexico won’t use price controls and that without fuel subsidies, Mexico inflation would be at 10%.
