Finance Minister Arrives In Marrakech For Bilateral Discussions

  • Finance Minister Haddad is expected to arrive in Marrakech today. His official itinerary is expected to commence tomorrow with a bilateral discussion with Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of India.
  • Haddad is then expected to engage in bilateral discussions with his counterparts from France, Indonesia, and Portugal during his visit. Additionally, he will meet with representatives from various banks and multilateral institutions.
  • According to an official statement from the Ministry of Finance, Haddad aims to address matters concerning trade ties and economic collaboration between Brazil and the respective countries in these bilateral meetings.
  • “Brazil’s active engagement in international economic discussions, notably within the G20, underscores the country’s proactive stance in global forums. We aim to foster dialogue and form strategic alliances that bolster our domestic economy and facilitate global equilibrium and progress,” stated the Ministry. (Valor International)
