Finance Minister Says Perceived Risk In Colombia Has Decreased

  • Colombia's Finance Minister, Jose Antonio Ocampo said that inflation is expected to slow to 7% in 2023 and that Colombia’s perceived risk has fallen in past weeks after the bout of heightened financial volatility in local markets.
  • Ocampo was speaking alongside President Petro and the cabinet, speaking in a press conference following the first 100 days of the government.
  • Ocampo also noted that economic growth is set to slow; with the governments social programs helping to ease the impact.
