Financials dominate in the first week of...>

EQUITIES
EQUITIES: Financials dominate in the first week of Q2 earnings season. This will
be the first round of reports to show the full impact of COVID lockdowns,
changing consumption patterns and new corporate priorities. Bank earnings are
expected to have deteriorated sharply, with slower consumer spending and higher
provisions denting the bottom line - although trading revenue is expected to
remain buoyant.
- Financials account for over 50% of S&P 500 earnings in the coming week, with
Thursday the busiest session for reports.
