Firmer In Asia

NZD

NZD/USD prints at $0.5860/65, the pair is ~0.3% higher in today's Asian session.

  • Spillover from the AUD, in lieu of a stronger than forecast Q3 CPI print, has seen the Kiwi firm. Tuesday's high remains intact for now and the pair has marginally ticked away from session highs. The 20-Day EMA comes in at $0.5901.
  • AUD/NZD is ~0.3% firmer and sits a touch above the $1.09 handle. Bulls target $1.0923, the high from 18 Sep and the $1.10 handle.
  • Cross asset wise; regional equities are firmer, the Hang Seng is up ~3% and e-minis have firmed off session lows to sit ~0.1% below yesterday's closing levels. BBDXY is little changed, US Tsy Yields are marginally lower.
  • A thin docket for the remainder of today's session leaves wider swings in risk sentiment as the main driver in NZD.
