LNG: First LNG Cargo Leaves Plaquemines

The first shipments from Venture Global’s  Plaquemine plant departed the facility on Thursday the company said.

  • The cargo was loaded onto the company’s vessel, Venture Bayou, and is headed to EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG in Germany.
  • It is the eight LNG export facility in the U.S. The plant will “produce and export LNG while construction and commissioning continues for the remainder of the project’s 36 trains and associated facilities,” Venture Global said in the statement.
