Flow Domainates

EQUITIES

Flow matters seemingly drove price action during Asia-Pac hours, with little in the way of notable macro headline flow evident.

  • E-minis ticked to best levels of the session, with little in the way of meaningful headline flow/developments at the Pence-Harris debate. It looked more flow related, as the DJIA contract breached yesterday's high, dragging the other two major e-mini contracts with it.
  • The Nikkei 225 managed to break through its recent highs, around the same time that e-minis broke through their respective Wednesday highs.
  • It looked like the positive tone from Wednesday's NY cash session spilt over into equity trade during the Asia-Pac session, before the aforementioned flow moves were seen.
  • Nikkei 225 +0.9%, Hang Seng -0.7%, CSI 300 closed, ASX 200 +1.4%.
  • S&P 500 futures +12, DJIA futures +92, NASDAQ 100 futures +43.
