CHINA YUAN: Foreign direct investment (FDI) into China rose 0.3% y/y in June to
CNY100.7 billion, down from the 7.6% growth last month, the Ministry of Commerce
said Thursday. 
-In U.S. dollar terms, it grew 5.8% y/y to $15.66 billion
-In Jan-June, FDI rose 1.1% y/y to CNY446.29 billion, or up 4.1% to $68.32
billion; 
-In 1H, the number of foreign companies established rose 96.6% y/y to 29,591; 
-Investment into high-tech manufacturing rose sharply, with investment in
healthcare equipment production gaining by 179.6% y/y.
