JAPAN: Foreign flows into Japanese bonds have normalised over the 2 most recent
week's worth of Japanese international security flows data, after foreigners
dumped some Y2.204tn worth of Japanese paper in the week to Dec 21, with modest
purchases noted over the 2 weeks that followed, while 4-week cumulative flows of
the same measure have reverted to near 0 on the back of the aforementioned fire
sale.
- Japanese investors have also been steady sellers of foreign paper over the
last 3 weeks, driving the 4-week cumulative flows of the measure into negative
territory.
