CHINA: Foreign investment in China's financial institutions totaled CNY23.304
billion ($3.4 billion) in the second quarter, while foreign investors took out
CNY9.028 billion ($1.317 billion) from the financial sector, resulting in a net
inflow of CNY14.276 billion ($2.083 billion), the State Administration of
Foreign Exchange said on its website Wednesday. Meanwhile, Chinese financial
firms invested CNY17.991 billion ($2.625 billion) overseas, while repatriating
CNY14.871 billion ($2.170 billion), for a net outflow of CNY3.121 billion
($0.455 billion).
