Foreign Ministers Meetings Set To Start In London

G7

The first in-person meeting of G7 foreign ministers is set to get underway soon, with UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab hosting the event in London. Raab held bilateral talks with his US and Japanese counterparts Anthony Blinken and Toshimitsu Motegi yesterday.

  • The foreign secretaries of the G7 nations (UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the US) are all in attendance, as well as their counterparts from Australia, India, South Korea and South Africa.
  • Raab is expected to lead the discussions, with focus on major international issues such as the ongoing political situation in Myanmar, and relations with major non-G7 actors such as China, Russia, and Iran. Expected to lead calls for a joint G7 communique or rebuttal of alleged Russian disinformation campaigns in the west.
