Forint Firms Alongside Regional Peers

HUF
EURHUF has dipped slightly lower in recent trade, following similar downturn moves in EURCZK and EURPLN. The forint lags its CE3 peers but performs well in the EMEA space overall. Nevertheless, the cross is operating within a narrow range with a familiar technical picture in play – resistance is found at 391.64, the Aug 21 high, while support is at 382.72, the 50-day EMA.
  • Moves in USDHUF are more pronounced. The pair sits 0.25% lower on the day, though within yesterday’s ranges. Key support to watch lies at the 50-day EMA, which intersects today at 353.35. With little in the way of domestic drivers, attention will be turning to the Fed rate decision later in the session.
