FRANCE DATA: Clarification on Inflation Signals From French PMI

FRANCE DATA

Circling back with a quick clarification on the French PMI: Although input cost pressures cooled in August, “prices charged for French goods and services rose at a stronger pace midway through the third quarter. The increase in output charges was the fastest since January”.

As such, the inflation signals were similar to those observed in Germany, with output charges accelerating. The Eurozone-wide PMI at 0900BST should provide further colour on price trends in the rest of the Eurozone.
