France Manufacturing Sentiment Edges Below Long Term Average

France Manufacturing Sentiment came in slightly below consensus at 99 (vs 100 consensus, 100 prior).

  • It now moves slightly below the long term average of 100, and remains below the the pre-covid (2014-19) average of 103.7.
  • In particular from the subcomponents, the slight move lower was driven by 'Personal Production expectations falling 6.7 points to 1.4 - the lowest since July 2023, bringing it below it's long term average of 5.6 (since series started in 1976).
  • To note, 'Personal Price' Expectations' also fell to the lowest since December 2023, printing -1.5 (vs 3.4 in the prior month).
