France Pulls in First LNG Cargo Since Strikes - Russian Origin

A Russian LNG cargo becomes the first to be discharged at France since the strike action at all four LNG terminals began last week according to Refinitiv.

  • The cargo which was lifted from the Yamal LNG plant on board the Fedor Litke has now arrived at Dunkirk.
  • At least nine LNG vessels, originally bound for France, have now been diverted to other locations since the shutdown of all four LNG terminals began on March 6 over government pension reforms.
  • Strikes at Dunkik LNG, which started on March 7, ended this morning, a representative for the facility said by email to Bloomberg.
  • France’s other three LNG terminals remain closed until Tuesday 21st at present.
