Freeport LNG Units Tripped This Week

The Freeport LNG export facility shut the liquefaction train 2 on 16 January and train 3 tripped on 17 January amid mechanical issues, Freeport told the Texas environmental regulator, but latest LSEG data showed that at least one of the trains was on track to be back in service on 18 January.

  • Feedgas flows to US LNG terminals stood at 13.5bcf/d on Thursday, after falling to the lowest in a year of 9.2bcf/d on Tuesday.
  • Bloomberg data suggested feedgas flows stood at 13.43bcf/d on Thursday.
  • The latest Arctic freeze in Louisiana and Texas has caused some energy firms to divert fuels away from US terminals and instead deliver the fuel to the domestic market.
