French Refinery Strikes Could Extend As Strike In Other Sectors Continue

Strikes at TotalEnergies’ refineries and Exxon Mobil’s Fos refinery continued on Thursday and could last longer as seen in the wider energy sector.

  • Industrial action at Total’s Feyzin, Donges and Gonfreville refineries continued Thursday. So far there has been no update on the schedule.
  • Strikes at Total’s Donges refinery were scheduled to last until 16 March, a union spokesperson said. TotalEnergies is operating its refineries at minimum rates.
  • Exxon Mobil’s Fos refinery remained blocked by workers protesting on Thursday, preventing trucks to access the site. There has been no update on the duration of the strike action.
  • Tanker cargo operations remain halted at the Fos and Lavera Fluxel oil terminals until 20 March.
