Fuel Situation At French Filling Stations Improves

About 11% of France’s filling stations lack at least one type of motor fuel, compared with 15% on Wednesday according to Energy Transition Minister Agnes Pannier-Runacher.

  • “There a slight improvement across France, with some regions still struggling,” Pannier-Runacher said.
  • The figure for yesterday was 15%, steady from a week ago.
  • Strike action in France has reduced French diesel supply by 200kbpd, Energy Aspects said last week.
  • France has been releasing strategic stockpiles, unblocking depots when needed, and asking airlines to refuel planes in airports where there’s no risk of shortages, including overseas, the minister said.
