JGBS: Futures dealing either side of where they finished the overnight session
in early Tokyo trade, briefly having a look below the overnight low at one
point, trading 11 ticks softer vs. settlement last. The recent theme of curve
steepening remains in play today, with a more traditional bear steepening feel
to the session thus far.
- The latest round of weekly international security flows data showed that
foreign investors shed Japanese bonds at the quickest rate seen since the end of
March, dumping Y1.3939tn worth of paper in the most recent week.
- Domestic focus falls on the first round of upsized 10-Year JGB supply, due
later today.
