Bulls couldn't force futures above 152.00 in overnight trade, however, the contract closed the overnight session bang on that round number, adding 7 ticks vs. Tokyo closing levels in the process. There has been little in the way of meaningful local news flow.

  • After hours on Monday Nippon Life noted that it aims to boost its JGB holdings by ~Y500bn in H220 (mainly via 20- and 30-year bonds), in addition to boosting its domestic and offshore corporate bond holdings by the same cumulative amount.
  • 2-Year JGB supply headlines locally on Tuesday.
