Gas Market to Find New Equilibrium After 2025-26: Eni

The natural gas market will find a new equilibrium after 2025-2026 as a wave of new production projects will come online, which will make prices more affordable for demand to pick up, Cristian Signoretto, deputy COO of natural resources at Eni, said.

  • Signoretto added that gas price volatility is here to stay, especially in Europe.
  • Gas storage capacity is crucial in managing volatility, which is one thing that is missing to increase storage capacity, he said.
  • This winter and next year will still be very fragile, he added.
