GBP was the breakout performer in the G10.....>

FOREX
FOREX: GBP was the breakout performer in the G10 space on Thursday, with cable
breaking above the week's highs to, while it also gained vs. EUR.
- The release of the minutes from the ECB's most recent meeting were relatively
uneventful but the repetition of the easing bias among the governing council
helped EUR/GBP through key support levels layered between 0.8660-80.
- SEK was the poorest performer in G10 as CPI fell short of expectations. The
subsequent NOKSEK rally tested Feb 2017 highs as EURSEK rose to fresh multi-year
highs on a move through initial channel resistance.
- NZD outperformed most, aided by selling pressure pushing AUDNZD below 1.0500,
although the cross has now regained that level. A pullback in metals and energy
stemmed some of the strength for commodity FX in the US afternoon, although oil
has since recovered which allowed USDCAD to move away from session highs.
- Points of interest in the Asia-Pacific session include China trade data, the
RBA FSR & the MAS MonPol decision from Singapore. German CPI and Uni. of
Michigan data are due to be released on Friday as well as speeches from Fed's
Rosengren, Bullard & Kaplan & an update from Moody's on the US sovereign rating.
