Taiwan dollar is stronger, but USD/TWD still off yesterday's session lows around 28.12, the pair last changes hands at 28.197.

  • TWD fell yesterday, exchange data showed foreign investors sold $105m of Taiwanese stocks, the first day of selling since March 10.
  • Remittance data from the central bank yesterday showed Taiwanese citizens working abroad sent $19bn home in February, up 24% from a year earlier but 7.8% lower than in January
  • US President Biden will meet with Chinese counterparts later this week, one of the issues on the agenda is expected to be Taiwan. According to reports in Politico US officials are warning with increasing urgency that China could in the next few years invade Taiwan.
