German Brunsbuettel LNG Project Nears Start

The Hoegh Gannet floating storage and regasification unit is back at Germany's Brunsbuettel port, having left on 23 January to wait further offshore according to ICIS.

  • Its return suggests commissioning work has made progress and the port should be nearing the date at which it can start to operate and receive cargoes.
  • It is the FSRU for Germany’s third LNG import project.
  • The Ish LNG tanker is still waiting nearby with a cargo from the UAE. It's expected to be the first delivery to Brunsbuettel.
