German Gas Consumption 18% Below Normal Last week

The latest weekly data shows overall German gas consumption was 18.16% below the 2018 to 2021 compared to 22.7% below the previous week average according to THE data via Bundesnetzagentur.

  • German industrial gas consumption was 15.6% below the 2018-2021 normal and household and businesses 17.9% below normal. The gas consumption for power generation is included in the industrial demand data.
  • Europe wants to save 15% between Aug22 and Mar-23 and over the first seven months has saved 18%. Germany has saved 15%, Italy 12%, France 10%, Netherlands 31%, GB 20% and Spain is up 7%.
