German Gas Demand 20.9% Below 2018-21 Average Last Week

German gas consumption in the 29th calendar week was 20.9% below the average consumption for the years 2018 to 2021 according to THE data via Bnetza.

  • Natural gas demand increased by 2.6% compared to the previous week.
  • German industrial gas consumption was 20.5% below the 2018-2021 normal and household and businesses 23.2% below normal. The gas consumption for power generation is included in the industrial demand data.
  • German gas storage stood at 86.47% of capacity as of 26 July according to GIE AGSI data.
