German Weekly Gas Demand 21.2% Below Average

German natural gas consumption last week stood 21.2% below the 2018-21 average, up by 3.8% on the week, Bnetza data showed.

  • Industrial natural gas consumption edged up to 1,566GWh/d last week, up from 1,542GWh/d the week prior.
  • Gas demand from households and small businesses rose to 1,355GWh/d, up from 1,272GWh/d the week before.
  • Natural gas inventories in Germany stood at 69.43% on 27 February, down from 71.13% the before, GIE data showed.
