Germany, Austria July Jao CBC Auction Offers Lower Capacity

The monthly Jao CBC auction for July delivery between Germany and Austria concluded today, with offered capacity decreasing in both directions.

  • In the Germany-Austria direction, all of the offered capacity of 3.07GW has been allocated at €2.03/MWh for July delivery.
  • For June delivery, all of the offered capacity of 3.135GW has been allocated in the Germany-Austria direction at €1.51/MWh.
  • In the Austria-Germany direction, all of the offered capacity of 1.824GW have been allocated at €4.55/MWh for July delivery.
  • For June delivery, Austria allocated all of the 2.049GW of offered capacity in the direction of Germany at €4.10/MWh.
  • The German July power base-load contract closed on 19 June at €75.50/MWh, at a €1.87/MWh premium to the Austrian market.
