Germany Greenlights Land-Based Rostock LNG Terminal

Germany’s land-based LNG import terminal in Rostock has been granted permission for the construction and operation of the site on the Baltic Sea, according to Rostock Energy.

  • The new project – Rostock Energy Terminal – has been taken over by BarMalGas, supported by Livingstone Partners.
  • Construction is scheduled to start this year and the terminal is planned to be operational in Q1 2026. The terminal is expected to have a capacity of 1.5bcm/yr.
