Germany's Elbehafen LNG Terminal Indicates Start-Up

Germany's Elbehafen LNG terminal at Brunsbuettel began send-out of gas into the local pipeline network in the afternoon of 22 March, according to transparency data.

  • Initial hourly volumes were very low but are expected to ramp up. Terminal operator RWE said it would carry out tests and aims for full operations at the facility in April.
  • The terminal uses the Hoegh Gannet floating regasification and storage unit and is Germany's third new import terminal to open up in recent months.
